Correction fluid and electrolyte loss in infants aged 3 months upwards, children and adults. Management of watery diarrhoea
Make up the contents of one sachet in 200ml of drinking water. Use fresh drinking for water for adults and children. Where drinkng water is unavailable the water should be freshly boiled and cooled. The liquid should be made up immediately before use and any liquid not used after 1 hour should be discarded. When made up in water is should appear as a milky coloured liquid. Adults and children one sachet after each loose motion up to a maximum of 5 sachets per day for 3-4 days. Infants aged 3 months to 1 year should be given only under medical supervision.
Powder containing: Sodium chloride 350mg, Potassium chloride 300mg, Sodium citrate 580mg, pre-cooked rice powder 6g.
If you are suffering from intestinal obstruction, kidney or liver failure or are receiving treatment from your doctor for a medical condition, ask your doctor or pharmacist before using dioralyte.
